It’s a simple mission, but one that drives everything we do as a body of believers. Through our gatherings as a church family and the individual callings of our people, our goal is to disciple everyone we meet to a flourishing relationship with Jesus.
We Flourish When We...
At Oakview Church, we want to create disciples of Jesus who Flourish. We believe this happens in five keys areas.
ROOTED IN THE WORD
We want every person to come to a saving faith in Christ and be transformed by God’s Word on a regular basis.
STEADFAST IN PRAYER
Prayer is the act of asking God to do what He has already promised to do. Jesus said, “My house shall be called a house of prayer”. We will be faithful to what Jesus commands us to do, because we need more of Him.
GROW WITH OTHERS
Life is better together! We want every person to find community and develop meaningful relationships through groups and discipleship.
LIVe ON MISSION
Found people find people. Those who are saved and know Jesus want to see other people know and follow Jesus. We want every person to join God where He’s working to spread hope in our community and around the world by placing others above self.
GIVE CHEERFULLY
The Bible says God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7). God doesn’t desire us to give grudgingly. Christian offerings aren’t meant to be a tax levied on citizens of the kingdom. They’re meant to be the overflow of gratitude for God’s grace to us in his Son, who became poor that we might become rich (2 Corinthians 8:9).
